Layering your security.
Point to Point Beams
Point to point beams throw a “ray” from the transmitter installed on one side, to the receiver unit installed on the other side.
Any movement that breaks the beam, results in an alarm being triggered.
The beauty of these devices is that they are available in a wide range of distance options – from 5M to literally kilometers! They also come in strip beam varieties, which “stack” the beams on top of each other, for more effective security.
Different sized stack options are also available.
External PIR detectors
External PIR Detectorsoperate in the same way as the internal infra red detectors, but are designed to withstand the harsh weather conditions that can be experienced externally.
Their benefit lies in the fact that they can send a “spray” of rays over 90 degrees, or even 180 degrees, thereby covering a wider area than point to point beams.
They also come in pet immune varieties – ideal for protecting those areas of the premises where pets roam, yet eliminating the false alarms caused by them.
Curtain beams
Curtain Beams are also available, which literally throw a thin veil of protection from their position to a termination point.
These beams create an invisible barrier that can be placed against the property to cover windows and doors.
These units come in options of 4 beam, 6 beam and 10 beam.
These are great from the point that they have synchronization cables between the 2, which stops them from false alarming.
